Janet Reynolds appointed new Marketing and Communications Manager

CEDA is pleased to announce Janet Reynolds has been appointed to the position of Marketing and Communications Manager.

Reynolds has worked for CEDA and formerly Destination Manawatū in various roles for more than 13 years, starting with the Palmerston North City i-SITE in 2005.

“Janet brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in marketing, communications and events to CEDA,” says Central Economic Development Agency’s Chief Executive, Linda Stewart.

“As well as managing a team of passionate and skilled professionals who are delivering enduring outcomes for Manawatū, Janet is leading major projects that will have a significant and lasting impact for the region.”

These include the development of a regional identity for Manawatū, a multi-stakeholder visitor strategy, and CEDA’s Provincial Growth Fund application for future opportunities within Te Apiti – Manawatū Gorge, to name a few.

As Manawatu’s economic development agency, CEDA exists to drive and facilitate the creation and growth of economic wealth in Manawatū and beyond.

Reynolds’ position leads the marketing and communications strategies for the region, with project portfolios spanning business expansion and growth, investment attraction, the development of our talent pipeline and building the reputation and experience of Manawatū.

Originally from Auckland, Reynolds has a long-standing connection with Manawatū and is passionate about the lifestyle on offer here, and where the region is heading.

"With the strong growth the region is experiencing, coupled with our shareholder councils' ambitious plans, I’m excited by the opportunities ahead of us, what CEDA and our partners are achieving together, and the integral role CEDA plays in continuing Manawatu’s growth and successes,” says Reynolds.

“Manawatu’s central location, vibrant communities, strong sectors, lifestyle proposition and affordability are just some of the key ingredients that we can collectively build on to position our region as the desirable choice for lifestyle in New Zealand,” she says.
