Dr David Kirk famously led the All Blacks to the first World Cup victory in 1987. David went on to become a doctor, a Rhodes Scholar and a highly successful business leader.

David developed his passion for the sport playing for the Manawatū primary representative team and sitting on the banks of the Manawatū Showgrounds watching Manawatū win the Ranfurly Shield. He feels a real connection to Manawatū and is excited to have the opportunity to now give back to the region.
