Born and educated in Palmerston North city, Sir David Moxon credits growing up in Manawatū with allowing him to reach his full potential and is an avid advocate for the region.

Sir David is the former Archbishop of New Zealand and Archbishop of Canterbury’s representative to the Holy See in Rome. As Director of the Anglican Centre in Rome, a role in which he focused on building a partnership between the Anglican and Roman Catholic churches, Sir David was involved in bringing faiths together on world issues such as climate change, human trafficking, and modern slavery. In his retirement he continues to work in these areas.
