Strengthening the visitor experience through place-based storytelling and regional identity
CEDA is enhancing the visibility and identity of our region through bold, place-based signage installed across the rohe – designed to foster local pride, create a sense of connection, and make our region more welcoming and navigable for visitors.
In collaboration with rural communities and council partners, we’ve developed a suite of wayfinding signs and information boards positioned along key scenic routes and high-traffic state highway locations. These signs share engaging regional stories, history, and attractions that reflect the unique character of each area.
By incorporating the regional brand into this signage, we’re creating a consistent and recognisable identity for visitors – helping them orient themselves, discover hidden gems, and feel encouraged to explore further, stay longer, or return in future.
This initiative supports our wider destination management efforts by strengthening the region’s visitor experience, boosting tourism spend, and reinforcing a shared sense of place across our communities.
