CEDA was proud to support the 2025 Feilding & District Impact Awards earlier this year, celebrating the people and businesses helping to shape our region's future. These awards shine a light on businesses, individuals, and teams doing incredible things, often quietly, that create real impact not only here in the district, but across New Zealand and beyond.
As well as supporting the Innovation Impact Award, our Business Development Manager, Greg Bignall, had the privilege of being part of the judging panel, joining a stellar group of local business and community leaders.
"There's a huge array of businesses, individuals and teams in the district doing amazing things and making a big impact locally, nationally and in many cases on the world stage," says Greg. "Being on the panel was a great experience as you always incover people and businesses doing cool things and perhaps you didn't know about before.

The Egg Project took home both the Innovation Impact Award, sponsored by CEDA, and the Supreme Winner title. The judges were genuinely impressed by the organisations ability to take something simple - eggs - and turn it into a powerful engine for community impact. Under Pip Chrystall's leadership, the project has fed families, supported schools, helper conservation projects and powered major fundraisers with remarkable generosity and creativity.
The awards night itself reflected the fantastic collaboration going on across the region, celebrating success across all industries and included some interesting business insights from keynote speakers; David Downs - NZ Story, Dan Steele - Blue Duck Station, & Jana Hocken - The Lean Dairy Farm.
"It was a fantastic night of celebration at the gala dinner bringing together nominees, finalists and winners," says Greg. "It's a reminder to everyone that we do cool things in Manawatū. We make impact in the world of business and community. We should be proud of our people!"
