Invest in your team with English Language Partners

English Language Partners (ELP) is New Zealand’s largest English language provider with 22 centres nationwide. Their vision is to ensure that former refugees and migrants participate successfully in all aspects of life in New Zealand.

Employers of migrants often say the key issues are communication with other colleagues and customers, and others say there is a need for staff to learn more about Kiwi workplace culture, so they understand more about ‘how we do things’ at work in New Zealand.

CEDA Talent and Skills Manager Sara Towers says, "People with English as a second language, whether migrants, former refugees, permanent residence or citizens, may need additional support to help understand the New Zealand workplace or industry jargon. ELP is here to support them and the workplace to make the most of the value these people can add to the regions talent and skills.”

ELP offers a range of both in-class and online courses including the successful English for Employees class to ensure they have the skills, knowledge, and pathways to succeed in a New Zealand workplace. There are a limited number of FREE positions available each year for employees who are New Zealand resident visa holders or citizens.

“Here at ELP we offer English training specifically tailored to each businesses' unique demands. We work with our clients to determine their training focus, and are able to provide courses to fit all levels and needs. Classes include strategies for improving on the job communication, and always aim for a safer, more skilled and productive workplace," says Stevie Hight, Marketing and Communications Manager.
