CEDA are thrilled to partner with New Zealand Careers Expo to bring a refreshed and revitalised Careers Expo to Manawatū, scheduled for 17 June 2022.

NZ Careers Expo logoIn response to the ever-increasing demand for talent and the challenges we face as a region when it comes to futureproofing our talent pipeline, CEDA has made the decision to partner with New Zealand Careers Expo for 2022.

New Zealand Careers Expo is a career focused event currently held in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin, and in 2022 Manawatū will be joining as the first provincial region to experience this nationwide event.

For 30 years New Zealand Careers Expo has been connecting the future workforce with the best training providers and career resources to equip New Zealand youth with information and networks to make smarter career choices. Additionally, New Zealand Careers Expo offers a suite of online tools for schools and students to navigate the world of work and explore current career opportunities on offer.

While the focus of the event will be for the regions secondary school students, there will be an opportunity from 5pm to 7pm for parents, whānau, career changers, tertiary students, and job seekers to experience the event just as we have done previously at each Sort It Careers Expo.

The event will see a mix of local and national businesses exhibiting with a focus on the regions sectors of strength. National organisations, industry associations and tertiary providers will also be on hand to talk to attendees about pathways from secondary school to further education, apprenticeships, and work.

New Zealand Careers Expo has connections and expertise that will see a fantastic event being offered in 2022. If you’d like to know more, or you are a school or business wanting to register to attend or exhibit at the New Zealand Careers Expo Manawatū, please connect directly to New Zealand Careers Expo HERE.

“We are very excited to be partnering with New Zealand Careers Expo. It makes sense to leverage their expertise and networks to reinforce our career development focus and better understand pathways to employment.”
Sara Towers, Talent and Skills Manager, CEDA
