Some of the CEDA team took to Wellington in June to showcase our region at Tahatū Careers Expo NZ, alongside Massey University and IPU, where we had great engagement from job seekers, career changers and school leavers, with strong interest in our region’s career, lifestyle and study opportunities. The day saw 3200 attendees interact with 39 exhibitors.
The Wellington expo came hot on the heels of the Palmerston North version, also run by Tahatū Careers Expo NZ. Supported by CEDA, the local expo drew over 3,300 attendees, including 2,524 students from across 27 schools. With 38 exhibitors present, the day was filled with energy, connections, and career pathways as the next generation of talent plans for their future.
“These expos are such a valuable way to connect directly with students and job seekers, and to showcase the breadth of career pathways and training opportunities available right here in Manawatū. It’s always exciting to see people light up when they realise what’s on offer in our region.” – Julia Giles, Business Development Coordinator, CEDA.
Our support of these events reflects CEDA’s commitment to partnering on initiatives that help grow and strengthen Manawatū’s talent pipeline.
