If you're developing new products, improving processes, or exploring new ideas, there are a range of research and development (R&D) grants and support programmes available to help accelerate your innovation.

Grants and programmes previously delivered by Callaghan Innovation are now provided through the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) Innovation Services.

But importantly, your local support remains the same as CEDA continues to support businesses to grow through innovation.

R&D Experience Grant (Applications open from 13th July) 
Bring a tertiary student into your business over summer and gain fresh perspectives while progressing an R&D project.
- 400 hours of support 
- $11,960 in funding ($29.95/hour)*  

(*six months’ salary support, conditions apply) 

R&D Career Grant (Applications open from 31st August) 
Strengthen your innovation capability by employing a Master's or PhD graduate to work on longer-term R&D projects.
- Up to $30,000 for a Master’s graduate 
- Up to $35,000 for a PhD graduate
