CEDA showcases Manawatū agritech success in TIN Report

CEDA sponsors Technology Investment Network (TIN) Agritech Insights report to showcase Manawatū's role as Aotearoa's leading agri hub

Given Manawatū's ambitious vision to be one of the top three agrifood hubs in the world by 2025, CEDA’s partnership with TIN presents a great opportunity to showcase the work happening across the Manawatū region and further raise the profile of the extensive depth and calibre of agrifood and tech innovation here.

The 2021 TIN Agritech Insights Report provides a sector overview and in-depth analysis of key New Zealand Agritech companies and the national eco-system.

Here at CEDA, we wanted to recognise the crucial role that Manawatū has played in building and maintaining Aotearoa’s proud and extensive background for not only growing and producing food but for innovating it and making it the best it can possibly be.

With our naturally fertile land, favourable geographic placement, and powerful cluster of agritech and agrifood entrepreneurs, researchers, and companies, partnering with TIN on the 2021 report was an organic way to reflect our region's strengths and capabilities in this space.

“Today, as COVID-19 continues to impact the world’s food production supply chains and labour markets, there’s never been a greater opportunity for New Zealand’’s agritech sector companies to prove their potential as both problem solvers and profitable investments – and collectively, to be a positive influence on the world,” said Greg Shanahan, managing director of TIN.

In the recently launched report, CEDA showcased recent achievements from organisations supported by accelerator and investment company, Sprout as well as providing an informative overview of the current agrifood space and scale.

Through this ongoing partnership with TIN, CEDA will be able to showcase the innovation and success of regional organisations, and open future collaboration and investment opportunities.
