CEDA board chair Malcolm Bailey says that Jerry brings important skills and experience to the role.
“We are delighted Jerry has accepted the position. Jerry has an impressive background, and we are looking forward to the contribution he will make in the role”.
“The region is on a significant growth trajectory, and CEDA’s work on key projects such as the Central New Zealand Distribution Hub and implementation of the Manawatū Talent Attraction and Retention Strategy are in full swing, so this is a great time for Jerry to be taking the helm”
Dr Shearman says he is looking forward to the challenge.
“I’m passionate about leading the CEDA team and working with our many stakeholders to achieve strong outcomes for the region and to leverage our collective economic strengths and opportunities”.
