From the 16th to the 25th of October 2026, Festival of Design Aotearoa is bringing a packed programme of tours, exhibitions, installations and after-dark experiences to Palmerston North and Whanganui. The Palmerston North programme includes guided art and design tours, interactive exhibitions at Te Manawa Museum of Art, Science & Heritage, large-scale projections lighting up Te Marae o Hine - The Square, behind-the-scenes architecture experiences, a curated design market, and conversations exploring identity, creativity, culture and the future of our city.
