Manawatū Garden Festival 2025

Manawatū is bursting into bloom this November with the return of the Manawatū Garden Festival – a five-day celebration of our region’s extraordinary gardens, creativity, and natural beauty running from the 12th to 16th November.

From magnificent public landscapes to charming private retreats rarely open to the public, this flagship event invites locals and visitors to explore, connect, and be inspired.

This year, we’ve taken the festival experience to the next level:

  • Online ticketing for easy booking, better visitor data, and smarter planning.

  • 20 stunning gardens across the region clustered into one coordinated programme.

  • Hands-on workshops and key events on offer.

  • Support from Air New Zealand’s Regional Event Sponsorship Programme, helping share Manawatū’s magic nationwide.

Whether it’s riverside rambling, English-style gardens or Italian renaissance inspired landscapes, the festival offers a unique tourism product based on the diversity of nature as well as the creativity of our community, which is perfectly matched to what both domestic and international travellers want. It’s about community pride, collaboration, and positioning Manawatū as a leader in themed visitor experiences.
